This section of the course emphasizes acquiring touch-typing skills using a computer. Its goals include mastery of proper technique involving correct fingering, body posture, and overall knowledge of key functions. It includes :
Dilbert "Strip of the Day"
First of all, check out the Course Outline, and make sure that this is a course that you are interested in taking. It is split into 4 basic sections : Programming, Networking, Communication, and Multimedia. Each section will take about 1/4 of the course.
Take a look at the Assignments Page, there are a number of assignments already posted. This is NOT a complete listing, it will grow as we get deeper into the course.
Keyboarding Stretch of the Day
We start with Keyboarding, generally, we spend about 15 minutes at the beginning of each period practicing. There are a few things we must do before we start. Watch this Introductory Slide Show and take notes (yes there will be a small online quiz later...)
Our first assignment will focus on Ergonomics and "Desk to Fitness".
