Outline for the Info Tech 9/10 Final Exam

Your final exam will have of two sections, one will consist of a written test which will be 'on line' like our previous quizzes. It will include multiple choice questions.

Follow this link to go to the multiple choice test :

The second portion of the exam will be a practical part where you will be required to create three documents. One document will be made in MS WORD, one in MS EXCEL and one will be written in HTML using note pad to be viewed using Internet Explorer.

During the first half hour of testing you will be evaluated on your Keyboarding & Ergonomic skills. What this means is that you should follow the proper techniques as described way back in first couple of days of keyboarding.

You will be allowed to bring in ONE sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. These rules apply : (Please note that : The sheet can be used for BOTH the written AND practical parts of the exam).

  • The paper must be NO LARGER than 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.
  • Only ONE side may be written on.
  • You can NOT use a PHOTOCOPY of anyone elses sheet
  • You can NOT share a sheet with any one else

If ONE or more of these rules are broken, the sheet will be taken away, and you may receive a zero grade on your final exam

You will also be allowed to ask me up to THREE questions during the PRACTICAL section of the exam. Each question asked will result in the loss of 1 mark from your total exam score. It is my hope that if you are completely stumped at some time during the exam, you could ask a question that will get you moving in the right direction!

Check out the Assignments Page to review all of the semester's work

If you have ANY questions about this outline please ask!!!

The final exam will be broken down as follows :

Keyboarding Skills 5%
Written Section 20%
MS Word Document 25%
Excel Document 25%
HTML Document 25%

The final exam will be worth 20% of your final grade.

Good Luck!!
