Textbooks and Resources:
Most of the information you will need will be found on the IT9/10 web site, or on the Info Tech Drive, however, we be using the Internet and various software extensively
for resources and activities.
A. Necessary tools of the trade.
It seems only logical to bring not only your self to class but also…
- pen, pencil and eraser.
- a three ring binder.
- pencil crayons will be used periodically
- your cerebral cortex.
B. Grade break down, evaluation and assessment.
Your final grade in this course will be based on :

C. Late arrivals and notes for absences.
Please arrive and be ready for class on time. IF YOU ARIVE LATE AT
MORNING OR AFTERNOON BREAKS YOU RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC 5 MINUTE DETENTION. You are responsible for any assignments due
or missed. You may see me to find out what you missed- the responsibility
is yours. You may also want to obtain a phone number of a friend to call in
order to find out what you missed in class, or you can check on our web site.
D. Assignments and Exams.
Assignments are due at the beginning of the
period on the due date, deductions of marks will be made for late assignments.
No assignments will be accepted after 1 week from the due date. If you are absent you must find out what
you have missed and hand in your homework assignment one period after your
return to class.
There will be many small online quizzes throughout each unit. Often you will be working
at your own pace and will write the quizzes when you have covered the appropriate material.
At the end of each unit a one hour in class test
will be given. Students who are absent for these tests will have to arrange a
time to come in during tutorial block to write them or else receive a grade of
0% on that test. Students should take the initiative to arrange for these
makeup tests.
E. Classroom / laboratory expectations
and conduct.
- Respect the right of others to learn. This means being
quiet and attentive.
- ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THIS ROOM.
- No horse play.
- You must bring your agenda each class to record your homework and upcoming tests or quizzes.
- These chairs are not meant as formula 1 race cars nor warp
speed star cruisers...PLEASE DO NOT ROLL AWAY FROM YOUR WORKSTATION
