Flow Charts and Traces

It is expected that students will:

• demonstrate an understanding of the following programming language concepts:
  • reduced vocabulary
  • translation to programming language
  • syntax and grammar

1. Dilbert "Strip of the Day"

2. Write the quiz on Flowcharts and Algorithms! (This is a paper test.)

3. Make sure that you have notes on the Slide Show on "What is a Programming Language?"

4. Finish the worksheet on "Windows 95 Basic Skills". It will be handed out in class.

5. Make sure you have notes on the slide show on "Variables"

6. Stop Here! We will be doing some basic Turbo Pascal practice together as a class before we continue. If you are feeling brave you could read through the stuff below!

7. Watch and take notes on the Writeln and Readln statements.

8. Create a program that will write out your address

   • save your program as address

9. Do Assignment #1 Writeln and Readln statements at the end of this page
• save your program as assign1

10. If you have time you can check out the examples of a bunch of different Pascal programs.
