Flow Charts and Traces

It is expected that students will:

• demonstrate an understanding of the following programming language concepts:
  • reduced vocabulary
  • translation to programming language
  • syntax and grammar

1. Dilbert "Strip of the Day"

2. Write a flow chart that allows you to count backwards from 100 to 0 by 10s, and do a trace for the program. (I have some extra trace sheets for you to use) Don't forget to hand both the flow chart and the trace in.

3. Study this for your quiz on Flowcharts and Algorithms next day!

4. Watch and take notes on the Slide Show on "What is a Programming Language?"

5. Do the worksheet on "Windows 95 Basic Skills". It will be handed out in class.

6. Watch and take notes on the slide show on "Variables"
