Flow Charts and Traces

It is expected that students will:

• demonstrate an understanding of the following programming language concepts:
  • reduced vocabulary
  • translation to programming language
  • syntax and grammar

1. Dilbert "Strip of the Day"

2. Finish taking the notes on "What is Information Technology?".

3. If you want, you can do the"Flowchart Bonus Assignment - Depositing a Cheque" while waiting for the others to catch up.

4. Now for the real stuff! We will be going over a number of examples of algorithms and flowcharts , in class. These will help you get ready for the Programming that we will start next day.

5. Watch the slide show on "Computer Basics" and take notes.

6. Do the worksheet on Computer Systems - this will be handed out in class. Some of the answers you will know from the "Computer Basics" slide show, others you may have to look up on the internet.
