  2. First of all, check out the Course Outline, and make sure that this is a course that you are interested in taking. It is split into 4 basic sections : Programming, Networking, Communication, and Multimedia. Each section will take 1/4 of the course.

  3. Take a look at the Assignments Page, there are a number of assignments already posted. This is NOT a complete listing, it will grow as we get deeper into the course.

  4. Watch AND take notes on the "Teaching Your Computer How To Be Useful" assignment listed on the assignments page. DO NOT PRINT IT OUT!!

  5. Watch AND take notes on the "Five Steps to Problem solving" on the assignments page. DO NOT PRINT THESE OUT EITHER, IN FACT, NEVER PRINT ANYTHING OUT!! :o)

  6. To get the idea of how an alogrithm works, we will be creating a number of them in class. One on how to turn on your TV, one on how to make a peanut butter and jam sandwich, and one on how to make a paper air plane. Your paper air plane alogrithm will be tested by another group!
