Flow Chart for Additional
Practice
Draw a flowchart for the following steps for depositing a check with a
live teller in a bank. These steps are not in the correct order. When you
have the word "if" in a step, it should result in a diamond.
- Add up all of the cash and checks and put the total in the "Total"
space.
- Get a receipt for your records.
- Go to the bank when it is open.
- If there are more than two checks, enter two on the front of the
deposit slip, and enter the rest on the back.
- If you are depositing cash, enter the amount of cash from any bills
in the "currency" space, and enter the amount from any coins in the
"coins" space.
- If you have a deposit slip from your check book, use it; otherwise,
use one from the bank. If you use one from the bank, write your name and
account number on it.
- If you want cash back, enter the amount in the "less cash received"
space on the deposit slip and sign your name in the correct space.
Subtract the cash from the total and put the result in the "net deposit"
space. If you are not getting cash back, copy the amount from the
"total" to the "net deposit" space.
- Leave the bank.
- Say thank you.
- Sign the back of all the checks.
- Total the checks and cash. If there are any checks on the back,
total the amounts on the back and put the total from the back in the
space on the front.
- Wait in line for the next available teller.
