Hi my name is Kristine. I live in a small town in BC called Salmo. Salmo is a very small
town of about 1500 to 2000 people. Although Salmo is very boring we do have a ski hill and a swimming
pool. Also we're only about half an hour drive away from Nelson, Trail, and Castlegar. In Salmo we have
only two schools, Salmo Elemenary School, from kindergarden to grade six, and Salmo Secondary School,
from grade seven to twelve. I am a grade 11 student in Salmo Secondary which has between 200 and 250
students at the most. Each grade in Salmo Secondary usually has between twenty and thirty students.
Although we have had some grad classes as small as 18 people. Which makes our classes very small.
I have one class that only has nine students in it, wow that's a really small class!
I am sixteen years old and a fanatic skier. Last winter I didn't ski race for the first year in
about ten years, instead of ski racing I worked in the concession at the ski hill, pulled T-bars and
instructed with the ski school.
