It uses a T-Bar to get the skiers and snowborders to the top of tower 12. It is one of the only hills in the kootenays to open at night for its widely known, "Night Skiing"!

The curling rink in Salmo is used for many things as well as a curling rink. In the summertime it serves as a rollerblade hockey arena and as a hall for banquets and other festivities.

The Salmo Public library work together to provide the residents of this town plenty of knowledge about the history of Salmo and the Kootenays. During the summer, the library offers the children, a summer reading program. In this program they will read, play games and take field trips.

The park has a plenty of things to keep everyone busy. There are two baseball fields with a batting range are on one side of the park for all the athletic types. A new playground has been built for any young kids to play on. There is also a swingset and a teeter-totter. Many camp spots are available for those staying overnight. Don't worry there are flushing toilets and hot showers here too!

Salmo has it's very own Stone Wall Murals. These murals were created and drawn by Charlotte Plaindin. Iris Lamb was looking for a way to up the stone sales. This was when the Kootenay Stone Masonary Training Institute came to be. All of the stone used was supplied by the Kootenay Stone Center here in Salmo.

The Salmo Golf Course is a beautiful way to spend the day. This is a 9 hole course. So come on out and give it whirl. There is also food and rentals to suit your needs.
