Snow Leopard
Snow Leopards are elusive and solitary animals that live in remote areas in Central Asia. There are only 6000 left in the wild today. They live in the mountaineous areas of 12 different countries, such as: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, ajikistan, and Uzbekistan. They are currently at the top of the food chain, which allows scientists come to the conclusion that if there are healthy snowies in a certain area than that eco-system must be healthy also. Currently in leopard countries they are doing field surveys, and package studies to try to help the population of these beautiful babies. There only 130 reserves for snow leopards in certain countries and the growth of the human population is the worst threat to the snow leopard population.
