THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS

And now, the only place where a true hockey fan should go. This portion of my site, is for my favorite NHL team the VANCOUVER CANUCKS. After a really bumpy start to the season this year, after the Christmas break, Vancouver was on a hot streak. The longest losing streak they had after Christmas, was for 3 games, after that they went on to win 9 straight.

Every team has a fair chance to make it to the playoffs. At one point after Christmas, Vancouver just couldnt make it back in to the 8th and final spot. Not only that, but there was the Olympic break, where for the first time in countless years, there was over 3 Vancouver Canucks playing on different Olympic teams. 2 on team Sweden, and 1 on Team Canada.

The Canucks, can breath easy now though. They made it into the playoffs, and even though they finished 8th, facing the number 1 team in the NHL the Detroit Red Wings first round, they had already defeated them. Vancouver had scored more points in the regular season, and boosted the spirits of the crowds, simply by playing awesome. It doesnt just rest on the shoulders of a few Canucks, but a great deal can go to Marcus Naslund, the Captain, # 19. Todd Bertuzzi, #44, and Dan Cloutier, a younge goalie, #39. A lot of credit still goes to the rest of the team, and for players with experience like Trevor Linden, #16. Hats off to these boys for playing like they did, keeping the fans on their feet, and playing hockey like it should be played.
